Seek Spiritual Health First and Financial Health Second: To do otherwise is to risk God's disapproval.

When things go wrong as they sometimes will, When the road you're trudging seems all uphill, When the funds are low and the debts are high, And you want to smile but you have to sigh, When care is pressing you down a bit Rest if you must, but don't you quit. Success is failure turned inside out, The silver tint on the clouds of doubt, And you can never tell how close you are, It may be near when it seems afar. So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit, It's when things go wrong that you mustn't quit.

As we consider ways to achieve financial security, it's wise to place first things first, starting with God. Is God your top priority? Have you decided to give His Son your heart, soul, your talents, and your time? Or are you in the habit of giving God little more than a few hours on Sunday mornings?

Mighty Men being Mighty FitYesterday, the Mighty Men of the greater Kalamazoo/Battle Creek Michigan area - successfully completed a 36 mile trail ride in the sweltering 90 degree heat, in fine fashion. Congratulations to all that participated and experienced a great time of fun, fellowhip, exercise and real, real, good chicken salad from Scott Powers! The pit stops along the way provided the needed rest for the men but also provided excellent opportunity for ministering to one another in a big way. For all, it was a sense of accomplishment and bonding that can only happen when one experiences life together in a mighty way. No man was left behind, in fact, MMTI look forward to next years ride to be bigger and better. Check out our pictures to get a glimpse of the days event! Congratulations to all the men that successfully completed the ride: Coach Michael Small, Al Balko, Scott Powers, James Nearn, Michael Larkins, Willie Nearn, Anthony Carter, Louis Lee, LT-"Jay Pulphus", Mike Riordan, Jim Coon, Henry Johnson

So far we've presented you two ways to live as an Absolute Young Christian. Readers are really starting to see what it means to take the challenge and truly live as an AYC. Hopefully we've give you reason to look at things in your own lives and see changes you can make. So with two reasons already posted..... Today we bring a third.
An Absolute Young Christian:
Lives As A Witness For Jesus Christ
Now this is the most profound challenge yet for an Absolute Young Christian.
In Acts 22:15 those who have seen Jesus, have heard his voice, and observed his divinity are told to bear witness.
15 You will be his witness to all men of what you have seen and heard.
Absolute Young Christians have the same calling. An Absolute Young Christian lives for Jesus every day of their lives. And they know and feel the difference that it makes, in their lives, in their relationships, and in their hearts. They feel Him in their spirit. They see His blessings every day of their lives. So it is their calling to bear witness to all men what they feel and see, to let the world know the power of their Lord, Jesus Christ.
But not only do Absolute Young Christians live as witness for Jesus through their words. They do it through their lives. They live as Christ would.
They Bible tells us that faith without deeds are empty.
James 2:26 (NIV) As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.
It is the same for
WORDS WITHOUT ACTION
It's one thing to profess Jesus as your savior. To call to others to accept him.
It's a TRUE CHALLENGE to actually back those words up with action.
You can preach for hours at a time to a friend of yours. But then if you turn around and through actions fail to live as Christ would, you are rebuking all of yours words to that person.
How can a non believer believe the words of a Christian who refuses to live Christlike?
This brings me to one of my favorite quotes of all time:
Brennan Manning -
“The greatest single cause of atheism in the world today is Christians, who acknowledge Jesus with their lips, then walk out the door, and deny Him by their lifestyle. That is what an unbelieving world simply finds unbelievable.”
Profound. True words that stand as a challenge in the face of all of today's Christians.
Christians who judge. Who condemn. Who look down upon others. Who refuse to associate with those that aren't "religious." Those who want nothing to do with people who have tattoos, piercings, or listen to music that may just be a little to loud.
Christians who bomb abortion clinics. Christians who hate. Christian who fail to love.
Absolute Young Christians live AS CHRIST WOULD.
Christ lived with love for all. Christ told us not to judge, not to condemn. Christ told us to love our fellow man, regardless of who they were.
He went even over the top of that. You had these old school church members, the Pharisees. They challenged Jesus when he was hanging out with sinners.
What did Jesus have to say about that?
Luke 5:30 But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law who belonged to their sect complained to his disciples, "Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and 'sinners'?"
31 Jesus answered them, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. 32 I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."
Now, this isn't Jesus serving as an example for us to go hang out with sinners and get drunk or high or sin. Jesus was spending time with these people in order to reach out to them. He was with them in order to try and bring the Word to them. He was trying to help save them.
We are called the do the same.
How else do Absolute Young Christians live like Christ?
(All from Luke Chapter 5)
- Loving your enemies. Doing good to those who hate you. Praying for those who mistreat you.
- Giving to those in need. Furthermore, giving to those who ask of you. Don't expect anything in return. As Jesus said, even sinners lend to sinner expecting to be paid back in full. We have to forget the materials of this Earth. We can't worry about money. It's paper. It decays and fades away. Our Lord calls on us to give to those who ask and in return we will be rewarded on high. Being kind to the wicked and ungrateful will earn us the greatest rewards in heaven (35 You will be the sons of the Most High)
- Always forgiving others as we want to be forgiven by God.
Jesus tells us why it is most important for us to live this way.
39 He also told them this parable: "Can a blind man lead a blind man? Will they not both fall into a pit?
We must live as Christ does in order to help bring souls to Christ.
If we do not live as a witness to Christ, in both words and action, we are simply a blind man leading the blind. We will get no where as will those who follow us.
So let's bring it all together.
Absolute Young Christians live as a witness for Jesus Christ.
They do so in both words and in action.
For the third time, we make the call, we lay the line in the sand, we shout the challenge from the mountain tops, most importantly HE wants to know:
ARE YOU READY TO BE AN ABSOLUTE YOUNG CHRISTIAN?

Today we point out the second aspect of being an Absolute Young Christian. We have everyone wondering.
What exactly does that mean?
What makes an AYC?
Today we have your second of many answers.
An Absolute Young Christian:
Lives Without Compromise
Now what does that mean? Lives without compromise?
As Christians we are called to live our lives, above all else, for our Lord and savior. Over family, friends, wealth, social status or power. Our existence on this earthly realm is with the purpose of living for him.
Now for different people this means different things because we all have different callings. Prophets, pastors, healers, rebukers, etc. We all also share duties on this earth, saving lost souls, living a life of love, not judging, forgiving, etc. But the point narrows down to one thing.....
WE ARE HERE TO LIVE FOR GOD.
So what does it mean to live without compromise?
When you compromise anything you are making exceptions. So when you compromise in your life, you start to make exceptions.
"I'm a proud, out spoken Christian......except when I'm in school. I don't want to seem like a weirdo."
"I turn to God for all my problems......except when it comes to this or that. I'm to busy or he's to busy or, I just don't know."
"I say grace before every meal......except when I'm in public. I hate when people look at me strange."
"I stay away from things that might interfere with my relationship with God......except when I occasionally go to a party and drink. It's ok to not be a Christian for one night every week, right? I should be able to relax and have fun."
Except = Exception = Compromise
I live for God.....except.
Absolute Young Christians do not have the word "except" in their vocabulary when it comes to being a Christian.
Absolute Young Christians are not afraid of what the status quo might say about their beliefs or how they express it. AYC's refuse to give into the peer and social pressure or alcohol, drugs, and sex. AYC's realize their lives are devoted to Him. AYC's realize that they serve as a beacon of light to non believers and that living with compromise will simply dim that light and make others question just how devoted they are to their faith and their God.
Don't worry about being cool. Focus on being committed.
Don't worry about being popular. Focus on being persistent.
Don't worry about being liked by others. Focus on being loyal to God.
Don't worry about fitting in. Focus on setting the example.
The Playbook, His Word, has already let us know what non Christians will think of us.
2 Timothy 3:12 (NIV) In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.
You will find instances where you are mocked, laughed at, stared at, and insulted. But you will find many more instances where living your life for Him, has influenced others to do the same. Simply living a committed Christian life, without compromise, will stand as a way to help guide non believers.
"Look at Amy, she never worried about anything. I wonder how she does it?"
"Look at Mark, he's always so happy. What's with him?"
"Ever since Trin became a Christian there is just something about her. Did it really change her life?"
When you live for God....
THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS.
THERE IS NO COMPROMISE!
And Absolute Young Christians are the prototype.
So, we come back to the question we started with.
Are you ready to live your life without compromise?
Are you ready to be An Absolute Young Christian?
