Baby boy born into a world with his whole life ahead,
Hope and faith abound until the day daddy fled,
Thirteen years later he never comes around and he barely calls,
"Don't you want to see me dad" but that's when daddy stalls,
My daddy doesn't love me,
My daddy doesn't want to be here,
The baby boy cries out into the night,
As his face is full of tears,
It's not that his momma doesn't love but she works so hard,
Trying to get out of the apartment into a house with a yard,
But a boy needs a man or that man stays a boy,
One day somethings goes to replace all of those toys,
He meets the wrong crowd and makes all the wrong choices,
His life is being led by all the wrong voices,
A snort and a puff take him away from his pain,
He looks to this world and sees nothing to gain,
My daddy doesn't love me,
My daddy doesn't want to be here,
The baby boy cries out into the night,
As his face is full of tears,
Then one day a stranger shoved a Bible straight up in his face,
"Do you know this man named Jesus who died for your grace?" He stammered and stuttered and didn't know what to say,
All he wanted to do was turn around and walk the other way,
"What you really need to know is that it doesn't matter what you've done."
"He knows you're hurting inside and wants you to feel his love."
That boy's frail soul was so shattered with pain,
And with the prayer of a stranger to the Lord he came,
My father does love me,
My father is always here,
The baby boy cries out into the night,
As his face knows no more tears,
