There are many factors that contribute to a successful marriage but here are what I believe to be the essentials. Since marriage is an institution created by God we have to first approach it from a spiritual perspective:
- Develop a consistent devotional life ( Prayer & Scripture reading )
- Pray with your wife ( and share what you learn from your studies )
- Increase your knowledge and skills related to marriage ( Invest in books and materials )
- Stay connected to men's accountability groups
- Commit to a local church
- Attend marriage conferences for periodic tune ups
